Show Rules

1.The I-70 Showdown Spring Livestock Show Committee, the Logan County Fair Board, and the Golden Prairie Extension District will not be held responsible for any damages to, or losses of, property for the duration of the show.

2.The show management reserves the right to alter and/or combine classes as seen fit. All show day announcements take precedence over previous announcements.

3.All exhibitors will keep their areas clean at all times.

4.Only 4-H and FFA members are eligible to enter. Exhibitors must own animals shown including showmanship. (Exception: If exhibitor has two or more animals in same class.) Only animals entered in show are eligible for showmanship classes.

5.State of Kansas Animal Health Department requirements for County Show will be followed. No intact male animals may be shown.

6.Weathers and does may be shown in the Meat Goat Show and will be shown clipped to 3/8” or less & free of active fungus lesions. All classes will be split by weight.

7.Lambs will show slick shorn & free of active club lamb fungus lesions.

8.All goats and sheep must have an official USDA Premise Tag from the breeder to be eligible for the show.

9.All animals will be free of infectious diseases or they will be dismissed from the grounds. All Breeding Heifers must be calf-hood vaccinated.

10.Fitting will be allowed for all species.

11.Exhibitors must furnish their own bedding, feed, and equipment.

12.Breeding heifers, breeding gilts and breeding ewes will be shown by breeds, but must have 3 to make a class or will be shown as AOB or crossbreeds.

13.All registered heifers must be permanently identified with a legible tattoo corresponding to registration papers in the name of the exhibitor. All commercial heifers require an official 4-H ear tag.

14.Heifers shown in the market heifer class are not eligible to show in the commercial breeding heifer class.
